In his more than 20 years in Law Enforcement where he retired as a Sergeant and gained an extensive experience in public safety and investigations. He has a diligent work ethic and strong critical thinking capabilities. During his Law Enforcement career, he has spent the majority of his career in the Criminal Investigations division continually finding new ways and using the most up to date investigational tools along with his skillset.
John has investigated several Theft/Fraud cases, Child Abduction / Missing Person cases and violent person crimes to include Homicide along with Child Crimes and has strong knowledge of Case management, investigational processes and Courtroom procedures. His extensive background and knowledge has been instrumental in the prosecution of countless cases he has worked in the local and state levels.
During his investigations career he was assigned to the Narcotics and Auto Theft taskforce Investigations bureaus where he completed over several hundred hours of Surveillance along with several hundred criminal cases, he has extensive experience in the undercover surveillance operations along with managing critical incident situations and has extensive experience working complex cases involving multiple people and facets.
John has testified as an expert witness in Auto Theft and Insurance fraud cases and has extensive experience in Interviewing and interrogation. John completed and attended the Reid School of Interviewing and interrogations completing basic and advanced interviewing techniques, and is certified in basic and advanced forensic interviewing techniques He has attended several different investigation schools throughout his career to include Crime scene investigations and supervision courses.
John Promoted to Sergeant and was immediately placed back into the Investigations division where he oversaw the Person Crimes Division which included homicide, robbery, and child crimes, and John was responsible for overseeing all the cases, case management and case submittals for prosecution. John was chosen by the Chief of Police to start the departments 1st Narcotics division. John also has completed several training courses along with instruction to Narcotics and undercover operations working with out of state training companies. After that time, he was a general Instructor and was involved in several trainings and development courses for Law Enforcement. He has extensive background in leadership and cultivating the environments he works in.
During his career, he was appointed the Vice President of the Police Officers Association were he gained extensive training and background in employee law, FLSA and EEOC rules.
After he retired John went into the private sector in the Security industry where he gained more experience and knowledge on private sector investigations along with completing Security assessments for schools and business where he would investigate potential security threats and weaknesses in these areas and would then complete and develop policies and procedures and better practices for safety measures.
